My LFS Build – 02 Setting up VirtualBox …

Start VirtualBox and select New Machine

Setup the Name, Type and Version as shown :

Click Next

Set the memory size to 64Mb

Click Next

Click Create a virtual hard drive now

Click Next

Choose VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image)
A.setup-vm-04
Click Next

Select Dynamically Allocated

Click Next

Leave the Name and Size as they are :

Click Create

Your Linux Box will appear in VirtualBox. Click on the orange Settings Icon.
When the Settings window appears – click on Storage
Click on Empty then click on the CD icon :

Choose tinycore_3.5.iso :
A.setup-vm-08
Click Open

Settings window appears – click on Network
click on the Advanced arrow :

Change Attached To to Bridged Adapter
Change Adapter Type to PCnet-FAST III
A.setup-vm-10
Click OK

Settings window appears – click on Storage
Remove the Controller: SATA by right-clicking on the `Controller: SATA`
then clicking Remove Controller :A.setup-vm-11

Click Add Hard Disk as shown :
A.setup-vm-12

Click on Choose existing disk :
A.setup-vm-13

Select `Linux Box.vdi` (which we created near the top of this page)
A.setup-vm-14
Click Open

Your window will look like this :

Click OK.
